Theme, Setting and Opinion


Setting

This story occurs in the United States of America, in not a very big city.


Theme

The theme is about how friendship can overcome anything. The theme is also about adventures and how imagination doesn´t have limits.


Our Opinion

Our opinion about this book is that it is a very interesting book for several reasons. This book can entertain an adult too. It talks a about friendship and imagination and that are very important things when you are small. We also liked this book because it has a little bit of everything, drama, humor, sadness and emotion.

Summary

There was once a boy named Max who wasn’t very smart, but was very tall. He lived with his grandparents.
Kevin was a very intelligent boy who was really small for his age.
These two kids had a very boring life until they met each other. They became friends and they lived many adventures, like; fighting with gangs, going to rocket shows, going to imaginary quests and much more.
They went to school together and Kevin always sited on Max’s shoulders.
In one of there adventures they found a purse in a sewer, it belonged to Loretta Lee, a mean woman.
Christmas came and the dinner with it. Max was sleeping when Killer Kane kidnapped him, his father which lived in jail. Killer Kane and Max where hidden until Kevin found them. He attacked Killer Kane with his squirt gun and escaped with Max.
Killer Kane returned to jail and everyone reunited. One day Freak got very sick and had to go to the hospital. Everyone was sad because Kevin was dying...
